- HUNTER DOUGLAS CEILING ADDS SPICE TO KITCHEN
When
a spice dealer redesigned the kitchen in his home,
he wanted a distinctive look based around warm, natural,
earthy colours and textures. Luxalon ceilings from
Hunter Douglas offered the ideal way to make the kitchen
individual, while being beautifully practical.
The
house in Dronfield Woodhouse, Derbyshire, features
orange walls, stone tiles, wood/painted units and
glass tiled splashbacks in orange, black and red.
Hunter Douglas designers suggested fitting a brushed
steel ceiling that would complement the steel appliances
and bring out the warmth of the units, flooring and
decor.
Aluminium
ceilings are an original and easy way of transforming
bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens or living areas. Each
ceiling is custom-made, enabling homeowners and designers
to create a unique style and mood in any space. The
designer chose large 150 mm panels for the spacious
kitchen, however smaller panels are also available
to suit even the most minimal space. The panels can
be integrated with many types of lighting to create
spectacular effects – in this example, two contrasting
forms of lighting were inset into the ceiling.
Hunter
Douglas offers the range in a huge palette of colours
and finishes to suit traditional and contemporary
interiors. Curves and extra design features can also
be also incorporated. All the systems are easily fixed
to plasterboard or can be suspended so installation
is simple. The panels are also recyclable.
Being
condensation resistant, the ceilings are ideal for
kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms and utility areas.
They can simply be cleaned with a damp cloth, and
unlike plaster ceilings, they need no extra maintenance.
