- LUXALON CEILINGS TOTALLY TRANSFORM HOME
Luxalon
aluminium ceilings from Hunter Douglas have played
a key role in the transformation of a private house
in Oldham. The contemporary scheme, devised by interior
designer CJ Penny of Better By Design, is a perfect
example of how this alternative to traditional ceilings
can be used to add individuality to any room in the
home.
Panels
in three finishes have been used throughout the lounge,
kitchen, bathroom and hall, stairs & landing -
bringing a sense of light and space to the house.
The design for the large lounge area was realised
using a combination of 150mm-wide panels in brushed
steel, 75mm-wide panels in gold as an accent colour
and the new 225mm-width panels in cream. The colours,
selected from a broad palette of finishes, were chosen
to complement the contemporary furnishings, wood floors
and cream walls.
The
new larger panel width is a recent introduction to
the domestic market range and gives the homeowner
or designer even greater scope when creating their
living space.
Luxalon
aluminium ceilings are a practical and creative answer
for any room, from reception areas and family rooms
to bedrooms and hallways. They offer an added bonus
for bathrooms, wet rooms, utility areas and kitchens.
Being condensation resistant, they can simply be cleaned
with a damp cloth, and unlike plaster ceilings, they
need no additional maintenance.
For
extra interest, curves and other design features can
be added. The panels can also be integrated with lighting
– in this project, down lighters were inset
into the ceiling. All the systems are easily fixed
to plasterboard or can be suspended so installation
is quick and simple. |
